Equipped with a high resolution 2.4” color display, a digital point finder, Bluetooth technology, and a 360 degree tilt sensor, the Leica Disto D8 opens up completely new measuring possibilities. You can quickly and efficiently determine horizontal distances over the top of obstacles, or the height of a tree, even though it has no reflective points. Roof slopes and facade areas can be safely and rapidly measured from the ground. The Leica Disto D8 is even capable of simple levelling tasks, with out the assistance of a second person.
Measurement results can be transferred wirelessly and without errors from the Leica Disto D8 to pocket-PCs or PCs using the integral Bluetooth technology, where they can be further processed in Excel, AutoCAD or other software.
The Leica Disto D8’s digital Point finder with 4x zoom allows you to point quickly and easily at far off objects, in glaring sunlight too. Even when the laser dot is no longer visible to the naked eye, the target can be clearly seen on the 2.4“ high resolution color display, allowing accurate distance measurements to be made, even over great distances.
You can also use the Leica Disto D8 to calculate Altitude Profiles. All you need to do is measure a known reference mark with the device and then measure from each of the relevant altitude differences. When the measuring points have all been recorded in one direction you can then determine a cross-country profile with the measured horizontal distance and the height difference.
The Leica Disto D8 also has a stake out function. By entering two different distances (A and B) into the Leica Disto D8, they can be used to mark off defined measured lengths. At each measured length, the display shows the current marking distance and a direction arrow. Additionally, an alarm signal starts to ring at a distance of 4 inch from the next stake out point
